Today started out great. It was such a nice day and I was feeling good. I got TWO long walks with a lovely nap in-between. When hanging at the house the windows were open and I could smell the breeze and look outside. Like I said, the day started out good. Then they put me in the kennel and left again. I don't mind going in my kennel. There are often treats in there. However, I don't like being confined in it anymore. What if I have to go to the bathroom and can't get out like last time? What if they don't come back and I am trapped in there forever? I tried my best to eat my way out of the kennel. It hurt my teeth but I was able to break a piece off the kennel. I still couldn't get out though no matter how hard I tried. When my pack finally returned I was really worked up and couldn't stop panting. I eventually settled down and went to bed exhausted, but it took a while.

Translation: Dog Dung. Take it home.

Jenn's take on the day: Dash has me worried. He is hurting himself and the kennel. He has had ~4 panic attacks in the kennel since we moved into the hotel. With training and intermittent use of anti anxiety meds he was getting better. The trauma of the flight seems to have set him back. I am going to start giving him anti-anxiety medication whenever we leave and have restarted desensitizing him to being closed in the crate. Hopefully this is just a temporary set back and we will be able to nip it in the bud. The reason Dave and I left is we were meeting some of his coworkers for dinner in Shibuya. We rode the train into the city. When we walked out of the train station we were immediately met by two of the iconic sights of the area: Shibuya Crossing and Hachiko. Shibuya Crossing is a 7-way traffic intersection. All traffic will stop and throngs of people will cross the road. It is quite the sight but given Dave and I's aversion to crowds we avoided crossing the intersection and took the long way around it. Hachiko is a memorial to an Akita whom would wait for his master at the train station every day. He continued to do so even after his owner died, until he himself died, 10yrs later. After getting the necessary pictures we still had time before dinner so David and I explored the area. Eventually we stopped at a bar for drinks and smoked edamame. The edamame was really interesting. We may trying smoking some ourselves. Dinner was at the Yakiniku Bar. Yakiniku is 'Japanese BBQ'. They bring you the meat and you cook it on a grill embedded in the table. There are typically dipping sauces and other sides provided. We tried an assortment of Kobe beef with kimchi cucumbers, soft tofu, two types of salad, and rice as sides. The flavors were amazing!
