I spent today in the kennel. It was quiet, and I was really bored. By the time the pack leaders returned I was full of energy. We went for a long walk. I was really excited to explore. I even found one of my new friends from yesterday, her name is Becca. I was so excited to see her I had a hard time keeping my feet on the ground like I am supposed to.

Jenn's take on the day: Dash and I woke up early this morning, yay jet lag! Today was all about getting paperwork done. I got my military ID card and now can get onto base by myself. Then I took the Japanese driver's license test. I will get my license tomorrow. We will need a second car so we went to a local used car dealership to see what was available. You are not allowed to test drive cars here. The most you can do is sit in it and turn it on. After much deliberation we found a car and put a downpayment on it. There is more paperwork to be done tomorrow before we will be able to pick it up. I wanted to share a picture of our house today. It's 1000 sq ft and has 3 bedrooms. Although one 'bedroom' isn't much bigger than a large closet. We live in a neighborhood called "American Village". It used to be part of an American military base. The base was given back to the Japanese and some of the base houses were turned into rental properties. A lot of our neighbors are American. It's small but will work for us.
