Well this sucks. I don't understand why the pack has chosen to humiliate me. They keep making me wear this big plastic thing on my head. I am trying really hard not to hit it with things but it seems to get stuck on everything...the couch, the pack leaders' legs, the wall, etc. I decided to stick close to the female pack leader (hoping she will relent and take it off, but no luck yet). Don't tell her, but I am aiming to hit her with it to get my point across. If I have to suffer then everyone should suffer. To make matters worse I have a sore spot on my leg that I really want to lick but now I can't get to it.

Jenn's take on the day: Remember Dash's new harness? Well, it created a rub and he will NOT leave it alone. So it was time to pull out the cone of shame. He really is pitiful with it on. I put it on him yesterday and he refused to lay down even though I could tell he was tired. He kept following me around the house, pouting and hitting me with it. Unfortunately, it is a necessary evil. I d0 have a few other details from the past week to share as well: 1) Last weekend David was out of town. I represented him at the office Christmas party on Saturday night. In addition to having fun I won a FitBit and a knife set. Sunday I took the train by myself for the first time since moving here. I went to an antique market and enjoyed perusing all of the exotic-to-me items. While there I bought an Obi. An Obi is the belt portion of a Kimono. There is a class on base where they teach you to make a wall hanging with an Obi. I will eventually take the class and may use this Obi for it. The picture does not do justice to the shine from the gold and silver threads.

After the market I went to check out Takeshita Street, a popular shopping area, before heading home. To say it was crowded was an understatement, but that is typical of areas like this on the weekends.

2) I had my first recipe fail last night. Daikon radishes are everywhere so I wanted to make something with one for a recipe post. A lot of recipes only use a small amount of the radish and/or use it raw in a salad like you would with any radish. They are huge and I wanted to find a recipe that would utilize the entire vegetable, I had found a side dish recipe for boiled Daikon radish that sounded promising. Unfortunately, it turned out very bland and I will not be making it again. I will keep searching and hopefully have better luck next time.
