I got to go for a run today! I was so excited. It was a beautiful morning. We had not been outside for any length of time since all of the boxes showed up days ago. The number of boxes is getting smaller and my stuff is starting to appear. My favorite dog bed is in the bedroom and now there is a rug I can lay on in the hall. Even my toy box has appeared! I am enjoying picking out one toy at a time and playing with it. The female pack leader spent a lot of time in the room with my crate today. She kept locking me in the crate and giving me treats. I like the treats but don't understand the point of this new game. I kept going in the crate to see if she would give me another treat.

Jenn's take on the day: After 2.5 days of almost constant unpacking we are over half way done. It's getting easier to move around the house. I am optomistic all of the downsizing prior to moving here is going to pay off. I have to admit I was concerned initially when they were filling the house with boxes. It normally takes me 2 weeks to unpack but given the smaller shipment I am hoping to have everything done within a week. I had taken a break from unpacking on Saturday to take the wood shop safety course on base. The course is a requirement to be able to use the shop. I felt like a kid in a candy store. SO many tools that have not gotten to use before will be at my fingertips... a planer, a jointer, a jigsaw, a drill press, a lathe, belt sanders, etc.. I can't wait to get started on something. David is not helping, he keeps pointing out things around the house I could build. Tomorrow I start the Basic Japanese class on base. Maybe someday I can have a conversation with the older lady who greets us during our morning walks.
