I didn't have to go in the kennel at all today! I was allowed to go with the pack leaders when they took a car ride. The female pack leader and I went to a vet clinic. Clinics all kind of smell the same so they are familiar to me. I like vet clinics as I spent a lot of time in them when I was younger. They are a great place to get a lot of attention. I like it when I get attention. At the clinic I saw two other dogs. One was OK but the other startled me so I yelled at him to keep his distance. The clinic completely lived up to expectations and I got lots of pettting. One lady even let me lick her for a REALLY long time. It was GREAT! After we left the clinic we found the male pack leader. He took me to 'work' and I got attention from some friends I had already met as well as some new friends. Did I mention I like getting attention? Then we went to sit outside. I pouted because the pack leaders were eating and as usual wouldn't share with me. I did get to meet a few more friends while outside so it wasn't a total waste of time. The female pack leader and I then went back to the new home. I was exhausted from all of the excitement of the morning, but it was hard to sleep because she had opened up all of the windows again. I decided to alternate napping and watching out the windows. That evening we went to another house and I got to lick MORE people. It was a good day, I am going to sleep well tonight.

Jenn's take on the day: Dasher had his vet appointment to get registered today. David was with me when I drove off base this morning. This afternoon was my first time driving off base by myself. Happily I made it home without hitting anything or anyone. David had to pick up our second car today so I didn't really have a choice unless I wanted to leave a car on base. I need to learn the route the GPS took me today. It avoids some of the really narrow roads somehow. Below is a picture of the car David bought when he first got here. It is a Toyota Ractis. We call it the 'Bullet'. David was out late tonight helping a friend so Dash and I ended up hanging out at Trish's house for a while. I am enjoying getting to know the neighbors and so is Dash.
